Community Relationship and Development:
The Group supports activities devoted to the welfare and development of neighboring communities adjacent to CYDSA Plants, including programs dealing with health, reforestation, safety, sports and the arts.
An example of the Group’s proactive approach to employee health focused on the response to the April, 2009 Influenza A(H1N1) outbreak. After the initial emergency, for the autumn-winter season of 2009, CYDSA developed a Prevention Corporate Plan that included information, education and a vaccination campaign covering 93% of its personnel. As a result, only 4 cases of this Influenza affected Group workers. On June 2010 the authorities eliminated the Epidemic Alert for this disease. CYDSA’s Business Units, however, provided its personnel with the new dual A(H1N1)-Seasonal Influenza vaccine for the autumn-winter season of 2010.
The Group joins community efforts to restore public areas enhancing the neighborhood quality of life. CYDSA also promotes the economic development around site locations by creating jobs and contracting local service suppliers.
The Group has formal economic support programs covering educational projects, social welfare and assistance organizations, health programs, contingency aid, cultural events and environmental education.
